Grey's Anatomy Seasons

Question by Jim A: How long is the show Grey’s Anatomy going to last on tv?
I love the show. However, I believe that in most shows that have a good reputation, they should also eventually end. I think that a good show lasts 6-8 years. I think that ABC has a hard time of LETTING Go of shows and letting them move on. They made a huge mistake by renewing Scrubs for a 9th season, when it was supposed to end after the 8th season.

I like Grey’s a lot. I don’t want them to just keep the show on the air because it was a major source of viewers. There is a time to just let go and move on. I really don’t expect it to last as long as E.R. did, and I hope it doesn’t because it just lost a lot of viewers after sometime. If they keep the show on so long, then people will stop watching and get bored with Dr. McDreamy and everything else.

So is it expected to last for another two seasons? I really think after that it should just end well. Furthermore, I find it strikingly similar to E.R. especially with Katherine Heigl leaving the show for a rising film career, just like George Clooney did 11 years ago, (they both left after 5 years). How long can it continue?

In my opinion, I believe it will last another season and maybe two. But, if they keep killing off most of the main characters, i don’t know if it will last that long. There is a big following of avid viewers who watch religiously every week. But, I think the same way you do…maybe 6 seasons and then it should fade away while they are hopefully still on top.

Just wondering if there is going to be a special edition released exclusively to one store like how season 3 had a special version that you could only get at Best Buy I think it was.

Kara M – I haven’t heard anything about a “Special Edition” for Season 5 of Grey’s Anatomy…yet.
